CRB spreads its wings to non financial institutions

Credit Reference Bureau (Africa) Limited or CRB Africa, a credit reference company launched by the Bankers Association Botswana three years ago says they are spreading their wings to service non-financial institutions this year.

In 2007, CRB Africa was contracted by the Bankers Association Botswana and its member banks to facilitate a bank sector credit bureau.
Now the company says they are on the path to penetrating other sectors such as retail, insurance, micro-finance, besides fulfilling the contract they signed with bankers Association Botswana.

"We have been operating within the banking sector only, but now we are expanding into other markets while we shall continue to enhance the service we have been providing the banking sector", explained the company's MD Moraki Mokgosana in an interview yesterday.
