Chinese Contractor Builds Western Bypass P450m Interchanges

A contract to build three grade separated interchanges at the remaining city’s intersections of Btv Circle, Rainbow Circle and Game City Circle has been awarded to Zhong Gan Engineering and Construction. The contract is worth P450 million.

With high failure rate by Chinese companies, the contractor has vowed to adhere to the timeline for the construction of three grade-separated interchanges at intersections of KT Motsete Drive with Willie Seboni Road (BTV Circle), Kudumatse Drive (Rainbow Circle) and Lobatse Road (Game City Circle).

The project is anticipated to run for a period of two years ending in 2020 and Ministry of Transport and Communications has commenced with site mobilisation effective January 10.
