BPC takes it on the chin as Mado26 launches

Speaking at the launch of the new Maduo26 strategy last week, the BPC board chair, Professor Oboetswe Motsamai said the corporation was unable to achieve goals set in the previous strategy for various reasons.
Masa 2020 strategy, which ended on March 31, 2021, envisaged the BPC as a profitable entity free from reliance on government.
Acting Agriculture Minister, Edwin Dikoloti, is right in saying opening an export-ready facility whilst Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) is still spreading would risk getting the whole country blacklisted before a single carcass leaves the door.A ban like that would break the already stressed nation.
