FRANCISTOWN: A new World Bank report, Tourism in Africa: Harnessing Tourism for Improved Growth and Livelihoods, has listed Botswana among African countries that can compete with major tourist regions in the world, if it effectively integrates tourism in its economy.

For example, from 1980 to 2000 arrivals in the Asia Pacific grew from 8 percent to 22% contributing to economic growth and improved livelihoods.
