Bank Gaborone opens in F/town

FRANCISTOWN: Bank Gaborone is officially opening its newest branch in Botswana in Francistown today. The branch, which is located at Galo Centre, has been operating since April.

Bank Gaborone is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Capricorn Investment Holdings Botswana.
The bank's Brand Communications Manager, Gaone Nkarabang, says the Francistown branch is the third since the opening of the first one in Gaborone in September 2006. "It is our third branch since in addition to the two branches in Gaborone - one on Main Mall, the other at Game City," Nkarabang says.

Bank Gaborone was issued a commercial banking licence by the Bank of Botswana in 2006 and started operating that same year. Nkarabang says Francistown has a lot of business potential for a bank like hers.
