BAC trains over 400 accountants

The establishment of the Botswana Accountancy College (BAC) fourteen years ago has seen an increase in local accountants.

BAC Executive Director, Michael Lesolle said in a media briefing yesterday that during its inception, the country had only 10 local accountants, a figure which has since multiplied 40 times.

"The world over there is an acute shortage of accountants, and as an emerging economy we feel the shortage more," he said.
