**Causes:**
Heart diseases often result from the accumulation of plaque in the arteries, a process known as atherosclerosis. This buildup narrows the arteries, reducing blood flow to the heart and increasing the risk of various cardiovascular events. Other causes include genetic factors, infections, and conditions like hypertension, diabetes, and obesity.
