Local jazz maestro, Shanti-Lo, set the Livingstone Kolobeng College main hall alight on Saturday with a special performance during the institution's Fun Day and fifth anniversary celebrations.

The performance started behind schedule, but that did not stop his fanatics from waiting in anticipation.  As usual Shanti-Lo had brought a live band with him.  His stage was decorated in white and purple veils and a red carpet led the way from the hall's entrance to the stage.  After hours of waiting, the long anticipated musician finally arrived and the hall burst into cheers and screams as he stepped onto the stage. Without wasting time Shanti-Lo jumped onto his first performance, a song titled A Re Fofe.  During the track, he executed mild dance moves, but the crowd could not hide their excitement as they screamed every time he swivelled his hips.  Shanti-Lo, however, unveiled his dance moves in his second track and the crowd was unable to get enough.  Every time he stopped to sing and dance, the crowd would go wild.  He swung his hips to the melodious beats that were being delivered by his eight-member live band.  His co-singers were never left behind as they too sung and danced their hearts out.

The second performance is the one that put the crowd in tune as it had a much quicker and vibrant rhythm suitable for the audience that was dominated by teenagers.  At one point during the piece, Shanti-Lo removed his coat, a gesture that told the audience that the heat was about to be turned up.  The stylish performer was dressed in red bell-bottom trousers, a blue top and a purple scarf.  As his fans anticipated Shanti-Lo unleashed exotic dance moves after removing his coat.  He performed his third song, but unlike the first two, it did not immediately capture their imagination.  But the revellers were brought back on board by Shanti-Lo's dancing during the track.
