The trio, who on Friday beat Kagiso and Hailey to make it to the finale, each will be hoping to be crowned this year's winner come this Friday. It has been a long journey for the contestants, especially the top five, and a bitter one for those who did not make it to the grand finale more so that they were rated among strong contenders for the title.Gaone, who has been cruising throughout the competition without ever making it to the bottom, was also on the night the first to make it to the finale leaving only two slots open for either Noah or Gaone, and Tebogo or Hailey.This meant a difficult task for the judges as it was left in their hands to choose the remaining two after they battled it out to save their skin.With Kagiso having been strong vocally with an upper hand in task songs, one might have thought he stood a better chance to be the second to join Gaone.
Hailey and Tebogo each also stood a better chance, as both are strong vocally despite having failed to impress the judges in task songs on many occasions. However, it was Noah who got saved by the judges much to raised eyebrows from the audience. Sid and Master Dee saved him despite having been the weakest vocally among the top five. Sid, when saving him, said he had been a marvel to watch, as he was better than the rest performance-wise. He also gave his vote to Kagiso after stressing that he has a good voice and has been good in task songs.
