Mophato Dance Theatre mesmerises audience

FRANCISTOWN: Mophato Dance Theatre wowed the audience with their combination of contemporary Afro-fusion, African and modern dances when they performed at a recent Botswana Chamber of Mines dinner in Orapa.

The organisers of the event invited the seven-member group all the way from Gaborone to showcase their talent in the mining town. "These guys are very good; they are perfect and they show real talent," one of the organisers said.

Group leader Andrew Kola, said he formed this group last year when he came back from Johannesburg where he was on scholarship at a dance school called Moving Into Dance that had been organised by the Maitisong office and Swiss Arts Council.
