Michelle Tjienda was on Saturday crowned the 2013 Miss Savannah Premium Dry Millennium beauty queen. Tjienda, a sales person, beat eight others for the crown.

The pageant held at the Millennium Jazz Restaurant is in its fourth year, and has grown in leaps and bounds attracting a notable following.  For the 40s and above, the pageant is meant to celebrate the women of Botswana.  The winner engages in community social responsibilities.Despite the event starting a bit late  the audience seemed relaxed and less irritated, which could be credited to the  ambiance of the venue. The stage was well set and the outdoor looked refreshing with the patrons  enjoying the evening cool breeze and the jazz melodies.  The women first showed a little bit of their wild side when they danced for the seemly appreciative audience.

It was a different  pageant without revealing outfits as the contestants went for jeans and T-shirts.  The Women of Jazz Botswana band performed on the evening.  The women also paraded their traditional wear as an appreciation of our diverse cultures. The last display was the evening gown as the final attempt to impress the judges for top five.  Kelly Adams ultimately won the pageant's Miss Personality while Queen Mofokeng, Regina Lesole, Tebogo Motlhabane, Rachael Keddy and Michelle Tjienda made it to the top five.
