Gaborone dance groups dominated the top six spots of the 2011 My African Dream (MAD) talent search senior semi-finals with four groups making it through to the finals.

At a show held at the Maitisong hall on Friday, the first Gaborone group to make it through was hip-hop dance group Chapter 4 followed by Bana ba Kgwale, a traditional dance group. The third and fourth dance groups were Dunamis and TNT.  Other groups that made it to the top six were Maun-based hip-hop dance group Led, whilst gospel musician Patrick Ketshabile from Palapye was the sole singer in the category.

However, a rare display from a contestant, who, according to most viewers, deserved a place in the grand finale, came from talented magician Eugene Lentswe, who hails from Francistown, but is based in Mafikeng, South Africa.
