FRANCISTOWN: Afro Pop sensation Eugene Jackson on Friday gave his legion of fans a sample of his unique music and style.

What makes his music unique is that he sings in Setswana.  He stated that his music is purely African with a combination of Afro-soul. "The reason my songs are in Setswana is that my fans like it that way so I had to give them what they want.  When I write or compose my songs, many things, including mundane everyday activities motivate me.  At times the motivation comes from the girl I so loved at that moment," said Jackson.  He added that he is currently working on a new album due for release in August this year.   "I have not yet decided on the title of the album.  Normally I work on the songs and come up with the title later.

I did the same with my first album.  One of the songs, Lorato is gonna be a hit in the new album because of the way fans responded to it and also the massive airplay it received.  In this new album, there will be a collaboration with international artists to add a fresh taste to my genre," explained Jackson.
