Documentary celebrates prominent Batswana women

According to the media relations officer, Karen Phiri, the Friday launch is the first of many to come.She said: "This is the first series of many episodes to come. We started with only four women and we will profile more because there are many women who have made a significance in Botswana's development."The first women to be profiled in the documentary are; Dr Gaositwe Chiepe, Margaret Nasha, Professor Serara Selelo-Mogwe and Bogadi Sefako.
The documentary includes a series of in-depth, one-on-one interviews and narrations on the challenges, experiences and influences these women have encountered on their journey to success.Phiri said that they have partnered with the Ministry of Education and Skills Development in the making of the documentary to ensure it is viewed in all the Senior Secondary Schools in the country. She said the message in the documentary is in line with the goals of the Leadership and Mentorship programme whose aim is to expose and motivate young Batswana women. She added that the programme hopes to close the gap between the generations and promote inter-generational dialogue on career and leadership and to present mentorship opportunities.
