Botswana Fashion Week chiefs won't be deterred

The Botswana Fashion Week (BFW) organisers will not allow the disappointment of their grand premier show, which nearly collapsed last weekend, to discourage them from forging ahead.

The crew is already making arrangements for next year's fashion week in April.  In fact two shows have been planned for the coming year, as prescribed by the World Fashion Organisation (WFO).  But before that the BFW have said they would host a follow-up cum compensatory event for the past weekend's show from October 13-15. 

The event is expected to bring together all the designers and models who competed in this year's BFW.
It would be in the form of an exhibition and workshop that failed to materialise during the inaugural fashion week. According to the BFW project manager, Michelle Theron, the show would also showcase Botswana fashion industry's small, medium, and micro enterprises (SMMEs).  She said the SMMEs could not make it to the fashion week last week because they were engaged elsewhere.
