Blowing 'em away with classicals musics

Young professional pianist, Laone Thekiso, gave a sterling performance titled 'Laone on the edge,' at the Maitisong auditorium last Friday.

The show was, however, not very well attended possibly because of its nature as Laone played sonata's exotic to Botswana. It was not, therefore, surprising that a majority of the attendees were non-Batswana. However, this did not deter the 22-year-old lad from moving the crowd as he gave the performance his all. His first performance was a B-minor sonata originally composed by Franz Liszt, a Hungarian born in 1811.

The show's host, David Slater, described the sonata as one of the great piano pieces and a challenge to any pianist.
