Andreattah's fantastic two weeks in the UK

Spoken word poetry diva and soul queen, Andreattah Chuma has described her two- week trip to the United Kingdom (UK) as a huge success after performing at five high profile events. She flew back home from the UK yesterday.

The Botswana poet performed at the Glastonbury Festival (June 23-27) - Somerset, the BBC Radio 4 Glastonbury poetry diaries, Apples and Snakes festival, and  Farrago  Summer  Poetry  Slam in London. Andreattah says she attended the 40th anniversary of Glastonbury Festival where she  performed at the Poetry

And Words stage as one of the four international poets on the programme. " I was doing the festival for the second time, the first tim being last year. Helen Gregory, who manages the stage at the festival, receives hundreds of applications each year and  I feel honoured that I never had to apply. The Glastonbury festival is the biggest field festival in the world," she told Mmegi in Gaborone yesterday. "A farm in Somerset turns into a magical world for five days with a total of 200, 000 people.
