Thokolosi man vows to stay away from controversy

As he prepares for the return of the controversial yet adored television drama series, Thokolosi, producer Norman Moloi says he will try as much as possible to stay away from controversy this time round.

In Thokolosi, a drama series based on the mythical creature that spins riches for its owner, Moloi told Showbiz, he would do his best to stay away from village politics which forced him to cut out certain scenes of the series the first time the show was aired on Botswana Television (Btv) three years ago.

Moloi's   TV drama had to be discontinued after Botswana Congress Party (BCP) spokesperson Taolo Lucas, who is campaigning for a parliamentary seat in Bobonong, the setting of the drama series, mobilised activists to condemn the play for depicting Babirwa as evil people who practice witchcraft.
