SA Idols race heats up

But as it is the norm with competitions, there can be only one winner, not meaning that the other contestants are not good enough. Monday night saw one of the top 10 contestants' dreams of becoming the winner of SA Idols came to a sudden end as she received the least votes from DStv viewers. SA Idols airs on M-Net every Sunday and Monday, with Sunday being the Spectacular show, while Monday is the day of breaking hearts, by eliminating one of the contestants. The first person to be sent home was Johannesburg's talented young woman, Ntsepa Pitjeng. While she received the least votes, that rendered her the least favourite amongst viewers, Ntsepa is a gifted singer, with a lot of stage presence. In one of the shows, one of the judges actually complimented her saying that he was wondering why she was not a star already.
This was not her week; she struggled a bit during the spectacular, perhaps due to the fact that she chose the wrong song. She, however, took the news well and her last performance, bidding her fans goodbye, was brilliant.The show is now left with nine contestants, namely Thembi Nkosi, Cameron Bruce, Pixie Bennett, Daniel Baron, Sasha-Lee Davids, Lize Heerman, Jason Hartman, Lendel Moonsamy, and Graeme Watkins. Ntsepa was in the bottom three with Thembi and Pixie.
