New life beckons for young Dikomang

FRANCISTOWN: When Tshepo Dikomang wakes up every morning she thinks of her forthcoming trip to London. She wonders how it is going to be like - the atmosphere - the environment and the attitude of the people she will be dealing with out there.

The 18-year-old last month grabbed the first ever Pop Stars Botswana award. Despite uncertainties, organisers promised the world on Botswana Television (Btv),  that the winner would record a pop music album, which is to be marketed and distributed by EMI Records Company in the United Kingdom (UK) . Apparently, this is what Dikomang is anxiously waiting for. 

Together with wheelchair-bound Kabo Matlho, the sturdy Dikomang are scheduled to leave for Britain this week to start a new life, thanks to talent show organiser, Master Dee.
