Baron down and out of SA Idols show

South African Idols, has reached a point of no return - the elimination stage, which every week breaks a contestant's heart, thus shattering the aspirant's dream of becoming the South African Idol.

During a nerve wrecking episode of the elimination show, which airs on DStv's M-Net every Monday, Daniel Baron became the second top 10 contestant to leave the show.

The young man admitted to the presenter that he was not expecting to leave the show at this early stage, but appreciated that South Africans had spoken. While public voting in shows of this nature seems more credible, it is not without its flaws. The top 10 eliminations are strictly left in the hands of the viewers, who vote for their favourite contestant, with the contestant who receives the least number of votes being the one to exit the show.
