On the Monday night's show, the host Lebogang did things in a different way as he called Zimbabwe's Adiona Moboreke, the one who got the most votes for this week, to the stage and instructed her to put the six contestants into pairs. In her first group she picked Zambia's Trinah Chisanga alongside two Zimbabweans Eric Moyo and Ammara Brown, and on the second group she placed Zimbabwe's Mkhululi Bhebe with Uganda's Nicolette Kiigi and Kenya's Cynthia in the same group. Asked which group she thought was safe, she cited the first group and, ironically, mentioned that she believed she was in the second group which she said in her view that would be the group that was not safe. Adiona's predictions were correct except for the fact that she was told that she was safe, as she was the one who had received the most votes for the week.
The moment of truth was getting nearer with the bottom three holding hands, hoping not to be the ones whose dream of becoming an Idol would be coming to an end on the night. Lebogang finally announced that it was indeed Cynthia who would be going home. While she was finally evicted, after failing to impress judges for several weeks, this week however she showed a bit of an improvement, doing Randy Crawford's One Day I'll Fly Away, but not to say she gave the best performance. She was even said to be most improved on the night. The young lady has high self-esteem as she told the audience that leaving the show will not be the end of her, committing that she will continue to nurture her singing talent to greater heights.
