The tyre-barricaded spinning area at Fairgrounds Spinning Palace was the place to be on Saturday as local car spinners brought the best form of sport entertainment to mesmerise spectators and adrenaline junkies.

The sight of massive clouds of smoke, the smell of the burning rubbers, the sound of the revving engines and screeching tyres brought a different feeling to the spectators.

Dubbed ‘The Hurricane’ the event organised by Spin City Motor events in conjunction with Botswana Motorsport attracted spinners from as far as South Africa. However, the competition was only between local spinners while SA spinners drifted for fun and entertainment.
