Co-parenting and youth development

There is no question that children are the most important item on the agenda between parents. While parenting is hard enough for parents who are cooperative in raising children in the best way they can, it becomes even worse if the parents are in high conflict.

When parents go their separate ways, they do so because one or both of them would have decided that is what will work best for them. Research has shown that children experience anxiety and adjustment problems when both parents are undergoing a high conflict separation.
