Obama to travel to Kenya in July

“His trip will build on the success of the August 2014 U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit and continue our efforts to work with countries in sub-Saharan Africa, including Kenya, to accelerate economic growth, strengthen democratic institutions, and improve security,” the White House said in a statement.
Obama's trip will be his fourth to sub-Saharan Africa since becoming president, said the White House. It will be his first to his father's homeland since his 2008 election. He did not visit Kenya during his last major trip to Africa in 2013 amid charges of crimes against humanity against the country's leader, Uhuru Kenyatta, at the International Criminal Court.
