Think not of your frustrations

As one year draws to a close and as we stand at the threshold of a new season; it is time to reflect on some immortal truths. Truths transcend seasons and are timeless.

They are the unbreakable laws of nature; and like all laws of nature we can never really break them, but we can only break and ruin our lives in an attempt to break them. In this issue we take a closer examination and reflect upon the words of the ancient Roman philosopher Cicero regarding some few truths.

After much reflection and examination Cicero opined that, "Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do."
