In a spirited send-off ceremony held on Thursday last week, team Botswana was formally launched in preparation for the fourth African Youth Games scheduled to take place in Luanda, Angola from the from December 10 to December 20.

The event brought together dignitaries, sports officials, athletes and supporters highlighting Botswana’s commitment to developing young sports talent. It was graced by distinguished guests including the acting Minister of Sport and Arts, Lawrence Ookeditse and Botswana National Olympic Committee (BNOC) president, Tshepo Sitale.

Their attendance symbolised strong government and institutional support for the youth athletes representing Botswana on an international stage.
