Phibion Tawina remains the number one coach for senior women softball team amid speculation that he is going to be replaced as the team gears for the World Baseball Softball (WBSC) World Cup Africa qualifiers. The qualifiers will be hosted by Botswana Softball Association (BSA) in February.

Tawina who is the current Police IX women’s team coach was leading the senior team when they competed in the past qualifiers. The team finished in the second position after South Africa. However, BSA has stood side by side with Tawina. The BSA has released a notice advertising for the position of team manager.

BSA spokesperson, Pako Maforaga, told Mmegi Sport that the final list of the team will be released just before the qualifiers.
