The LUCARA Botswana sponsored netball league started off smoothly with games being played in the Northern and Southern Zones over the weekend.

In the North, Boteti River Girls were walloped by TASC 10-88. The visiting Nico United also received a baptism of fire from Thunderbolts with a score of 34-54.

In the South, Police men kicked off their campaign by beating their cross-town rivals, Notwane 33-31.
