Jagdish Shah who recently dumped giants, Township Rollers will stay on as Botswana Football League (BFL) treasurer.

Shah was at loggerheads with Rollers over an ownership model, where he was demanding full control of the popular side. However, after the two failed to reach consensus, Shah officially left Popa on May 31.

Shah is on the BFL board by virtue of his previous position at Rollers. BFL chairperson, Nicholas Zakhem told Mmegi Sport that according to the constitution, Shah should have relinquished his post within the board.

"However, due to his portfolio of being BFL treasurer, and head of sponsorship and finance committee, we asked him as a board, if he can carry on with his duties until sponsorships have been signed, and other financial matters on hand.

Further, such will be dealt with at the upcoming (BFL) AGM," Zakhem said. Meanwhile, Rollers spokesperson, Pako Lebanna said he was unaware what could have happened to the club's Facebook page which was mysteriously deactivated today. "We don't know anything as yet; we're trying to find out why it's inaccessible, if it's been deactivated or hacked," Lebanna said.
