Scotch, Ngozi struggle in Hungary

It was a tough day in the office for local 400m athletes, Leungo Scotch and Zibane Ngozi during the Gyulai Istvan Memorial Gold Meet in Hungary this evening.

Scotch finished in position six stopping the clock at 45.10, while Ngozi was in position seven posting 46.01. The race was won by Steven Gardiner who was winning his fourth race of the season, by sending a strong statement to Wayde van Niekerk with a World Lead (WL) 43.74. Van Niekerk posted 44.08 over the weekend during the Silesia Diamond League. The world lead of 43.91 has been held by Zambian Muzala Samukonga, which he set during the FNB Botswana Golden Grand Prix in April.
