Rollers is preparing for its final league match against newly crowned champions, Gaborone United at the National Stadium on Saturday night. "Players have not received their April salaries, yet it's almost the end of May," a source said. The management was scheduled to meet the players this morning. One of the country's glamour clubs is facing a torrid time after an acrimonious split with investor, Sebata Holdings, amidst accusations of unfulfilled promises. Sebata was due to pay players salaries until the end of the season.
Sebata Holdings spokesperson, Nqobile Ndlovu admitted to MmegiSport that they are facing cashflow challenges, which they are in the process of rectifying. Whilst Rollers have chosen not to comment on the matter of their split with Sebata, sources indicate that the company was struggling to meet its obligations, leaving the club with piling debts. Rollers will finish the season trophy-less after falling way behind in the title race and also being dumped out of the Orange FA Cup.
