Mares have safely arrived in Tangier, Morocco, ahead of their campaign in the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The team landed on Wednesday and has since settled into their base camp in the northern coastal city, brimming with focus and national pride.

This marks Botswana’s third appearance at WAFCON, with the team aiming to build on their historic 2022 performance that saw them reach the quarterfinals for the first time.
