LOBATSE: The Lobatse Sport Complex came alive over the weekend as track stars went head to head in the annual Jwaneng Track and Field Challenge.

The competition was an opportunity for athletes to gauge themselves as they prepare for the season. Some were pushing themselves for a slot in the final team of the World Athletics Relays Gaborone 26 set for May 2 to 3 at the National Stadium. One of the hightlights of the event was Prince Selepe of Jwaneng athletics club who powered to the fastest time in the men’s 150m heat three clocking 15.27.

He was followed by Justice Oratile stopping the clock in 15.40 and Tumo Stagato Van Wyk of Sports View Runners Club finished third in 15.52.
