FRANCISTOWN: TAFIC's celebrations were abruptly halted by Jwaneng Galaxy scoring a stunning equaliser a few minutes after the former's 90th-minute goal.

Galaxy's goal led the game to a 1-1 draw, leaving many fans who thronged the Francistown Old Stadium sad as their cheers and chants of victory were suddenly replaced with gasps of shock and disappointment.

TAFIC head coach, Mandla Mpofu, however, said the 1-1 draw was a fair result for his side. He noted that they overcelebrated after scoring in the 90th minute, which allowed the opponents to equalise. Mpofu highlighted areas for improvement, particularly in terms of concentration levels. "I think the goalkeeper could have done better in saving the ball. Instead of catching it, he punched it, which cost us the opportunity to win the game," he said. Mpofu stated that they have learnt the hard way and thus will do better next time.
