The suspended Botswana Karate Association (BOKA) secretary-general, Karabo Samuel's bid for a lifeline has emphatically been dealt a body blow by the interim committee in charge of the sport's governing body.

Samuel has pleaded his innocence three months after being slapped with a suspension by the committee. He has written a letter to the committee on the eve of elections challenging his suspension.
