The second round of the Botswana Off Road Racing Championship (BORRC), the Sarona 1000km Desert Race was held at the Agriculture Showgrounds in Gaborone’s Block 10 area. Held from Friday to Sunday, the three-day marathon attracted competitors from Botswana, Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe, with international drivers praising the organisation, terrain and passionate local support.
Namibian duo Johannes Grobler and navigator Ferdinand van Niekerk of AK4 Racing powered their Class 5 machine to overall victory.
