The newly-formed Briteline Volleyball Academy is on a mission to rescue volleyball as the sport reels from a boardroom crisis.

The academy was granted provisional membership into the Botswana Volleyball Federation (BVF) by the Tsoseletso Magang-led executive committee, and it is now waiting for endorsement. Speaking to MmegiSport, Briteline's head of technical, TJiyapo Madeluka explained the endorsement did not proceed during the congress as expected because it was not in the programme.

He said the academy was established this year, and they train players from seven to 21 years old. He added their motto is ‘cultivating volleyball excellence in the country’.
