The Botswana duo capped off their magical run by securing silver medals in the final leg on Sunday, finishing as runners up to Angola after a closely contested 2-1 defeat in the final. According to a statement from Botswana Volleyball Federation (BVF), the consistency and strong performances by Chiswaniso and Boifang throughout the series saw them accumulate enough points to finish as the overall champions. The achievements underlined their status as one of the region’s top beach volleyball teams.
Meanwhile, the young due of Baleofi Mosiiwa and Travor Manduwa continued their development on the international stage, finishing sixth in the final led and securing fifth place overall in the series standings. Vice president of Beach Volleyball for BVF, Pogiso Osupile, explained that the two teams were able to participate in all the five legs of the series due to the support of Botswana National Olympic Committee (BNOC) and National Sport Commission (BNSC).
