BFA braces for crucial regional elections

The Botswana Football Association (BFA) is preparing for crucial regional elections at the end of May and beginning of June, with eyes on the bigger prize, the 2028 national executive committee poll.

The regions form BFA's electoral college, and are key in determining the mother body's leadership. The writ of election for the organisation’s regional election was issued this week, one of the key steps towards the 2028 elective congress.

BFA president, Tariq Babitseng got 24 votes during the previous elective congress in 2024, and is expected to face challenge in the next election.
