Bathoeng aces UB Marathon on debut

BDF Athletics Club runner, Gaone Bathoeng, made a winning start to her 42.2km marathon career after she emerged victorious at the UB Marathon on Sunday.

Known for her exploits in the half marathons, she made the leap to the more demanding 42.2km race and aced it at the first time of asking.

Pitted against a strong field, Bathoeng crossed the line in 2:49.08 fending off competition from Kenyan, Rosina Kiboino who finished the race in 2:53.25 while Neviah Maganzo was third with a time of 2:55.03.
