The Botswana Athletics Association (BAA) has acquired a new Fully Automatic Timing (FAT) system to replace ageing equipment bought in 2014. The new equipment was bought from TimeTronics in Belgium with the support of the Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC) and the Ministry of Sport and Arts (MOSA).

BAA sport development manager (technical), Patrick Moesi, told MmegiSport that the equipment costs close to P6 million.

He said the new equipment will improve the quality of BAA events because they have been relying on old system procured during the 2014 Africa Youth Games.
