Lion's Den Athletics Club has suspended its secretary-general, Olebogeng Oitebetse over allegations of indiscipline and maladministration. Oitebetse received her suspension letter on Saturday.

Lion’s Den chairperson, Tumelo Lotlaamoreng, through the letter, accused Oitebetse of 'indiscipline and maladministration'. “Therefore a conclusion has been reached that an investigation be carried out to establish the true vision of what could have transpired.

This follows an allegation that between December 2022 and February 2023, you in the capacity of club secretary, sent out communication to BAA (Botswana Athletics Association) soliciting clarity on certain issues without the knowledge of the executive committee,” reads the letter which was copied to the BAA. Oitebetse is accused of being involved in unconstitutional campaigns regarding BAA elections.
