Amos spearheads youth track, field League

Nijel Amos is maintaining his legacy of grooming young talent in athletics by joining other like-minded individuals to set up Youth United Track and Field League which has been sanctioned by Botswana Athletics Association (BAA).

The former 800m Olympic silver medallist has teamed up with Simon Tshwaane, Sydney Seabo and Solomon Mpusetsang of Gaborone based Propellers Sport Academy. Amos told Sport Monitor that a new era for youth athletics in Botswana has officially begun with the launch of the Youth United Track and Field League.

The league is a national youth competition designed to bring together private schools, public schools, and out of school youth on one inclusive competitive platform.
