A senior Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) official was left seething, accusing Botswana referee, Joshua Bondo of cheating their national team in a drawn COSAFA Cup tie against Seychelles on Wednesday.

The media even went a step further, “Referee from Hell”, screamed The Herald, saying Bondo had failed to award to “clear cut” penalties. ZIFA vice president, Omega Sibanda said his association is ready to launch a complaint against Bondo.

“That was just unacceptable and as an Association we will protest against such questionable ways of deciding matches, because the referee should offer both teams a fair opportunity to win the game and the referee appeared to have an agenda against us,” Sibanda said.
