Zebras to play in Mali despite security concerns

The Zebras will play the first leg of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Mali in Bamako on September 8 despite initial security concerns.

The Mali Football Federation has this week written the Botswana Football Association (BFA) stating that CAF had confirmed in writing that the match will be played in Bamako on September 8.

BFA marketing and communications manager, Phakamile Kraai told Mmegi Sport yesterday that they have indeed received communication from Mali confirming the date and venue for the match.
