Zebras' supporters in bid to raise 1.5million

The Gaborone branch of the Zebras supporters club has begun an ambitious bid to raise P1.5million to fund their trip to the Africa Cup of Nations final in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon next January.

The supporters club's fundraising chairperson, Jane Mmelesi said the aim is to raise P1.5million to finance about 1,500 club members.

The branch will start with a fundraising dinner at the Fairgrounds in Gaborone on August 27. Held under the theme 'AFCON 2012 mogo rekagona', the cheapest ticket for the dinner will cost P300 while for couples it will be P550.
