Zebras supporters in Kachikau and surrounding areas will get a chance to meet some of their stars today during an HIV testing campaign. The event is part of a national campaign by the Zebras to encourage men and out of school youth to test for HIV.

The campaign under the slogan Zebra 4 Life, Test 4 Life is sponsored by the US embassy in Gaborone. The Information Specialist at the embassy, Laona Segaetsho said there is mood of excitement in the Kachikau region in Chobe District and some Zebras supporters plan a motorcade from the airport to welcome the players.

Segaetsho said that they would replicate the campaign in different parts of the country. He said that this is the first time they are bringing the campaign to a far-flung place like Kachi-kau from its centre in Gaborone. He said it is the first major event that the US ambassador, Katherine Canavan has been able to attend. He revealed that statistics indicate that the campaign is having ripple effects and the numbers of people who test have dramatically risen.
