Zebras play friendly in Mafikeng

A second-string Zebras' side will play a select South African provincial team at the Mmabatho Stadium in Mafikeng in a friendly match this afternoon.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 3pm. National team coach, Stanley Tshosane has been drilling 22 fringe players since Sunday for the duel against a North West Province Select side.  "We will play a friendly match in Mmabatho on Thursday (today) afternoon. The whole idea is to assess these boys in a match situation.

But I am impressed with what I have seen so far although some of the players that I had called did not report for camp," Tshosane said. The team had their last training session on Tuesday evening at the Bank of Botswana Grounds in Gaborone. The bulk of the players called into camp were drawn from the current Under-23 side.
