Zebras' Franceville stay no monkey business

Franceville, one of Gabon four largest cities, offers visitors a lot of African rock python and monkey meat.

The city will become a focal point for Batswana when the Zebras make their maiden AFCON finals appearance in January. The local team will be based in this city of only 42,000 people, 9,000 less than the population of Selebi-Phikwe.

The Zebras have become accustomed to steep challenges. There was no joy for the Zebras when the group stage draw for the qualifiers was made. Group K had Tunisia, Malawi, Togo and Chad. The possibility of the Zebras emerging from this group looked remote.
